I initially thought I would be back to work this coming week, but I was overestimating my body's ability to feel normal after surgery. I still have some pain and even bruising that is taking forever to completely disappear. I'm going to take a couple of more weeks and then reassess. I do feel its worth noting that I know 100% for sure that evening/nighttime outcalls (and possibly even incalls) are not something I will be able to offer for some time because (unbeknownst to me prior to surgery) my abdomen swells to the point that I am unable to stand straight up as the day goes on and will continue to do so for up to six months after surgery. The takeaway is that it really pisses the abdomen off to be resected. Hopefully I will see some of you in a couple of weeks!
